  • A few hours later...
  • Girls, head inside. You need to help out you mother with some chores. While, I go hunt.
  • The older daughters would help take care of their younger siblings, while they youngest got water from the stream and made sure the fire didn't burn out. Also, taking care of the animals.
  • Mary, since your the oldest. You need to take care of Laura and do all the chores you girls would do back in Wisconsin. While, I make dinner.
  • Pioneer life was really dependent beginning up the weather. A drought would kill all of the crops and wipe out an entire year’s worth of work and crops. Wildfires could be even way worse as they could destroy many crops, barnes, and home.
  • I hope we don't get a drought again, because all of our crops are going good so far!
  • While, the girls were during their chores, and the mother was cooking. Charles was hunting.
  • The pioneers lived a really unsafe, risky, and strict life. The men had to work as farmers, hunters, trappers, skilled carpenters.
  • The women usually did all of the heavy farm work, and did all of the family work. Women raised and took care of the children, cooked, spun yarn, and also wave cloth.
  • The Ingalls family was strong. Caroline always felt lonely, because she was pregnant and had no one to really talk to, but she had a beautiful baby girl named Carrie. She also later on had two more childern. One, daughter named Grace and one son named Freddy. The end!
