Macbeth asks Banquo to come the his banquet knowing that he wont make it because he was going to kill him this is an example of dramatic irony. later in the following scene Macbeth is thinking if what he has been doing is wrong. Lady Macbeth talks him out of it and tells him to cover up his true intentions.Instead of seeing Banquo at the feast Macbeth sees his ghost and freaks out and starts yelling at the ghost.
Macduff is suspicious of Macbeth and flees to England to join forces with Malcolm. Macbeth decides to go and visit the witches which were told to play with Macbeth by there queen Hecate. At the end of the act Lennox is talking with another lord about how Macbeth took Malcolm's birth right of being king. he brings us up to date on the latest events that are happening.
