Storyboard Text

  • Mmmm! This looks like a delicious nut!
  • Oh no! The nut rolled away from me!
  • I'm going to take that nut now!
  • THE NUT WAS FIRST PUSHED TO THE RACCOON AND THEN PUSHED BACK TO THE SQUIRREL, CREATING A FORCE OF 0 NEWTONS DUE TO NEWTON'S FIRST LAW OF MOTION.
  • Yay! The nut came back to me!
  • Oh no! The nut rolled away from me too!
  • I must put this apple in the shopping cart but how much force should I put upon this apple when I throw it?
  • USING NEWTON'S SECOND LAW OF MOTION, WE KNOW THAT FORCE IS MASS TIMES ACCELERATION.
  • I threw the apple at a force of 3 newtons because the apple is 0.5kg and its acceleration is 6m/s squared (0.5kg times 6m/s squared is 3 newtons)
  • Here's your coffee.
