He looked at us, eyes wide open, absorbing everything and was genuinely interested.
For the whole rest of the bus ride home, he asked us questions about our gods, the rituals, etc. At the end of the ride, he thanked both of us for explaining the Brahmin culture to him and apologized for making fun of a culture he did not understand.
Just because I am Indian, I get many questions about different things, whether it be marriage, dating, food, and so on. I am always excited to share my culture with everyone and it is important to me that people are taught about cultures around the world.
I wrote about culture because I wanted to show everyone that being proud of one's culture and staying true to your beliefs is the key.
From praying every morning
To not cutting nails on Friday
