The Disobedient Girl Who Married A Skull
This storyboard does not have a description.
Effiong Edem, a native of Cobham Tow, had a very beautiful daughter, named Afiong. All the young men in the country wanted to marry her, but she refused all offers of marriage. She wanted to marry the best-looking man in the country, who was young and strong, and capable of loving her properly.
The skull who lived in the spirit land heard of the beauty of this Calabar virgin and thought he would like to possess her, so he borrowed all of the best different parts of the body from his friends. He then saw her at the Cobham market and she fell in love with him. She invited him into her home and immediately asked for marriage. After living with her for 2 days he wished to take her back to his country with him.
When they arrived his body began to fall apart and she didn't like that so she wanted to go home, but he refused.
Afiong was in danger. The other skulls had found out that there was a human on their spiritual side and wanted to eat her.
The skull's mom found out that all the other skulls wanted to eat Afiong. She immediately hid her and promised to send her back to her country because Afiong had been so nice and helpful to her.
Don't worry I'll hide you
Afiong then flew with the wind and arrived at her house and her father called all the young girls who belonged to Afiong's company to come and dance, and the feasting and dancing was kept up for eight days and nights.
