  • 1939- Germany Invades Poland
  • This way !
  • 1940- The Battle of Britain
  • Get Down !!!
  • 1941- Attack on Pearl Harbor
  • Germany had advanced technology and with their military they were able to invade Poland with the idea that of destroying the Polish armed forces.  This invasion ignited the war by the German's outburst of anger. If Germany didn't invade Poland WWll would have never even began. 
  • 1944- D-Day
  • Foward March !!
  • The Battle of Britain was a turning point in the war because it became the largest and longest sustained bombing campaign. Once France dropped out of the war Britain had to face Germany alone. This event is huge because it was a milestone in history. The Battle of Britain proved that anyone could stand up to Germany without even having to fight back. 
  • 1945- Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

  • The Pearl Harbor attack was the cause of the U.S's entrance into world war 2 . This attack by Japan caught the u.s by surprise. This attack killed around 2,000 American's and wounded at least 1,000. It caused one of the most massive destruction's ever seen. American's were united by the urge to enter the war and the military proceeded on with it.  
  • 1933-1945 The Holocaust
  • D-Day was the beginning of the end of the war, this battle involved 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces landing on the beaches of France. This invasion caused much confusion for the German's. D-Day caused Germany to suffer major blows.  D-Day was so important because of the impact it had on Germany's defense and confidence. D-Day shut down Germany's molbility. 
  • The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are so important because they confirmed The united states win. These bombings were retaliation from the U.S on Japan and was also a very important moment in history as the most powerful bombs used in a war. Even though these bombings killed thousands of innocent people it was an huge step in the war . And a victory for the United States.
  • Even though the holocaust did not begin in world war 2 it did end during it. This horrific mistreatment of Jews and other minorities is something that will never be forgotten. This genocide took place in secrecy through the war. Hitler set up concentration camps trying to get rid of what he thought wasn't "pure" . This event is very important because as the camps were being freed and exposed to the world shock and horror grew from the people of the world.
