Storyboard Text

  • Aeneas was a prince of Troy and the son of the Goddess of Venus. After the Trojan war had ended; he fled Troy with his father. His Quest was to find a new city for the Trojans.
  • Juno, wife of Jupiter hated Aeneas and the Trojans. So she persuaded Aeolus, keeper of the winds, to set the Trojans off-course.  In doing so, the Trogans ended up in Carthage.
  • There they met Queen of Carthage, Dido, who welcomed them.  While in Carthage aneous told Dido of his journey so far and how the Gods had visited Aeneas in a dream to tell him that his homeland was in Italy.
  • In his time in Carthage, Dido and Aeneas fell in love. Sadly, Aeneas needed to finsih his quest and stablish a city for the Trojans. So, he sailed off to Italy. As he sailed away, Dido killed herself and cursed Aneous with her dying breath.
  • Aeneas led the Trojans to Scilicy where he was visited with a vision from Anchises, who told him to visit the underworld. In the Elysian fields Aeneas reunited with his father who showed Aeneas what would happen to his future descendants.
  • Once Aeneas arrived in Italy, Latinus, the king of the Latins, offered him his daughter Lavinia, in marraige. Howvere, lavinia was already engaged to Turnus. So Aeneas and Turnus fought for Lavinia's hand, with Aeneas winning.
