  • Linda Brown lived in Topeka, Kansas
  • Linda is forced to walk miles to the nearest black school because she isn't allowed to go the the white school that is very close to her house
  • Linda's father hated this because Linda had to cross a dangerous railway to get there and eventually got fed up and started protesting to the school
  • Soon Linda's father took his case to the courts and it led to one of the largest supreme court cases in the civil rights movement
  • Eventually the supreme court declared that blacks and whites deserved to go to school together and separate but equal but equal was defeated
