During the Scramble for Africa, Sudan was one of the countries that got taken over from the 1890's to 1953.
The British were able to easily take over because there was a revolt in Sudan so the leader had no choice but to let them take over.
Europeans have the duty to colonize as we are the superior race.
The Europeans are racist and have been mistreating our people ever since they came.
Sudan got its independence in 1956 after the Constituent Assembly used a document known as a Transitional Constitution.
The Transitional Constitution replaced the governor general as head of state with a Supreme Commission that was elected by a parliament composed of an indirectly elected House of Representatives.
The British left the Arab Muslims the power with the Transitional Constitution. There were many effects from the colonization.
The English leaving didn't help much. The country was now split up. South Sudan against North.
Although the colonization from the United Kingdom did bring some advances in medicine, the country is now split up and very underdeveloped and has a lot of poverty.
