  • The year is 1922, and Nick has moved to West Egg on Long Island. He soon meets Gatsby, his neighbor, and is reunited with his cousin Daisey and her husband Tom Who live in East Egg
  • Rising action
  • Gatsby and Daisy fell in love 5 years ago, but Gatsby left to fight in the war. While Gatsby was away, she moved on and married Tom because he was very wealthy. Gatsby has worked hard to gain emmense wealth in the dream that Daisy will come back . Even though she still loves Gatsby, she is married to Tom, who won't give her up.
  • Climax
  • Gatsby meets Daisy for the first time in 5 years. He is very nervose because everything he has done in life was to lead up to this moment. Gatsby shows Daisy his great wealth, and they both fall in love again. However, Gatsby's life no longer has a purpose. His dream has come true.
  • Deunoumont
  • When Gatsby is at Daisey's house, Tom realizes that Gatsby and Daisy are in love and wants to put a stop to it. He suggests to drive to New York. Everyone agrees and they go.
  •   At the hotel room, Tom and Gatsby get into an argument over Daisy. Daisy admits that she loves Gatsby, but chooses to stay with Tom.
  • Gatsby is mistaken for the man that was having an affair with Mertyl and later killed her. Wilson shoots Gatsby while Gatsby was in his pool. Only Gatsby's father, Nick, and Owl Eyes go to his funeral.
