Thermistocles tricked Xerxes to fighting in a small channel of water and defeated the Persian navy. Persian ships were bigger than Greek ships and they were not able to fit in the channel. The Greek ships were smaller and repeatedly rammed into Persian ships.
Ha we have tricked you knowing that you have large boats you cant fit in the channel of water

Sparta was left very weak after the battle of Thermopylae but Athens became the most powerful city-state after rebuilding. Athens had made the Deleain Legue which means that Athens and its other allies will protect and defend each other if Persia ever tries again to invade Greece
