Storyboard Text

  • The ides of March are come.
  • Ay, Caesar; but not gone.
  • Hail, Caesar! Read this schedule.
  • What touches us ourself shall be last served.
  • I fear our purpose is discovered.
  • Popilius Lena speaks not of our purposes...
  • A crowd of people; among them Artemidorus and the Soothsayer. Flourish. Enter Caesar, Brutus, Cassius, Casca, Decius Brutus, Metellus Cimber, Trebonius, Cinna, Antony, Lepidus, Popilius, Publius, and others.
  • Most high, most mighty, and most puissant Caesar...
  • Thy brother by decree is banished: If thou dost bend and pray and fawn for him, I spurn thee like a cur out of my way.
  • Artemidorus approaches Caesar to warn him of the conspirator's plan. He quickly dismisses the message before heading to the Senate-House.
  • Is there no voice more worthy than my own to sound more sweetly in great Caesar's ear for the repealing of my banish'd brother?
  • But I am as constant as the northern star... Cimber should be banish'd, and constant do remain to keep him so... Hence! Wilt thou lift up Olympus?
  • Cassius fears that the plan has been discovered after Popilius wishes their enterprise well. Brutus assures him that Popilius did not mean anything by it. Antony and Tribonius leave and then Decius Brutus orders Metellus Cimber to plea for his brothers return.
  • Tyranny is dead!
  • Metellus Cimber distracts Caesar by requesting the return of his banished brother to Rome.
  • Caesar refuses the request because he had already made up his mind.
  • Suddenly Casca and the other conspirators stab Caesar to death.
  • Speak, hands for me!
  • Et tu, Brute! Then fall, Caesar.
