Why did I make this bet. All its done has ruined two poeples lives
Should I really go through with this?
The banker, scared he will lose the bet decided that he must go down and kill the lawyer. He pulls out the key feeling hesitant about entering but proceeds to extend his arm to unlock the cell door.
This room is such a mess, he must be crazy.
The door is old and rusty. As the banker twists his key the lock gives off a painful squeal as if the lock is yelling at him, telling him not to go through with his decision.
I'm such a bad person for wanting to kill him.
After standing still with door wide open, waiting to gain enough inner strength to confront the lawyer he takes a deep breath and enters the cell.
I'm such an awful person. I wanted to kill him and he said he would give up the bet for me
A note is sitting atop the lawyers table. The banker looks around the room and sees the mess that the lawyer has made. He examines the lawyer, not expecting him to be asleep, looks at his hair and how its changed, how skinny and malnourished he appears. Then the bankers eyes stop on a note
The note looked so intriguing and the banker couldn't resist reading it. He picks it up and begins to read. As he reads the note he starts to feel sad.
Feeling contempt for himself the banker leaves the cell sobbing. Having decided not to kill the lawyer, the banker regrets his previous intentions as he walks back up to his room.
