- Y' can't stop the milk. I need the milk. I'm pregnant.
- Don't look at me, Love. I might be a milk man but its got nothin' to do with me.
- Give one to me.
- Do you want to be my blood brother, Eddie?
- Yes, please.
- Mrs Johnstone is a single mother to seven children who is very poor, she can't even afford milk for her children.
- You see why I don't want you mixing with boys like that!
- Mrs Johnstone works for a rich woman called Mrs Lyons. When Mrs Lyons finds out that Mrs Johnstone is pregnant with twins, she convinces her to give her one of them. After a lot of manipulation, Mrs J agrees. Mrs L fires her.
- Just our secret between you an' me
- When the twins separated at birth are 7, they meet again. They become blood brothers and play together.
- We're goin' away, oh, bright new day!
- Mrs Lyons hears that Edward and Mickey have met and is afraid that he is "mixing with the wrong boys". She tells him to never go back to where Mickey lives ever again.
- The twins and their friend Linda get into trouble with the Police. Mrs Lyons moves away with Edward to get away from Mickey. Mrs Lyons gives Edward a locket of Mickey as a keepsake.
- Mrs Johnstone gets a letter saying that her and her family are being moved from the city to the country. She is very excited to start a new life...
