Storyboard Text

  • The Entrance of Junior High
  • Then what about Yin Lan-Lan?
  • I don't know about the boys.
  • Do you know what class Du Hai is in?
  • School Chairman
  • Hi, I'm Chang Hong!
  • Room #301
  • I can't believe it, no one here knows my class status!
  • "Down with Imperialism!"
  • Seriously, when are we going to learn math?
  • Math is the KEY
  • Today class, all we are going to be talking about is the Cultural Revolution.
  • Down with Imperialism! Down with Revisionism! Down with the new tsars!
  •
  • As Ji-Li and her friends come into school, the school chairman is giving an annocument to the school about the school. The girls find out that the chairman has replaced the pricepeal and that they really aren't paying attention to him, what they really want to know is who is in their classes.
  • The Little Red Book
  • CHAIRMAN MAO MAY HIS LAWS LIVE ON FOREVER
  • KEEP CALM AND LOVE CHAIRMAN MAO
  • Ji-Li proceeds into her classroom, where she finds no one that she knows from Primary Schol, she walks in and finds her seat. Ji-Li thinks to herself that this is a great way to make new friends because no one knows about her class status.
  • Wait, What?
  • The grades were very high in this class, two students got a 100, Ji-Li and Bai Shan! But, sadly 5 students have faillied
  • Thank you guys so much!
  • At Ji-Li's school, all that they are talking about is the Cultural Revolution. Now, classes like math, biology and science, are talking about things like raising pigs or how to grow rice.
  • A Special Suprise
  • I can't do this, the class might start to spread rumors about me and Bai Shan just because we are the favored students!
  • Now, students have to take out their Little Red books in place of things like math textbooks. People in the school system are even starting to call the book "precious", it seems like the school is trying to brainwash these kids so that they could become a big part of the Cultural Revolution.
  • Okay class, please get out your precious Little Red Books.
  • I mean, I like the Cultural Revolution, but not this much.
  • As the teacher was speaking, she said that Ji-Li had gotten a hundred on the same math quiz that five other students got a failing grade on. Everyone in the class was clapping for Ji-Li because of her amazing grade! For once, something wasn't about the Cultural Revolution.
  • Wow Ji-Li, that amazing!
  • As everyone was just about to leave, Ji-Li and Bai Shan were asked to stay after class. Ji-Li gets all nervous and thinks that she is in trouble for something. Turns out, her teacher just wants her to do this thing for the newpaper because of her and his great handwriting. Ji-Li turns down the oppertunity because shes afraid that gossip might start to spread about her and Bai Shan because they were the best students.
  • Ji-Li and Bai Shan, please stay after class, I have some important matters to discuss with you.
