  • What is the Problem?
  • Hey, did you finish the Social Studies project? You know it's due today, right?
  • WHAT?! I thought it was due on Monday, what am I going to do now?
  • What is the Problem? Continued...
  • Well... If you want I can share my project with you from my Chromebook, and then you can change it up a bit to make it look like your own.
  • Well I guess .. but you'll get a good grade, and if you don't accept it then that just means your scared of "getting in trouble" or whatever. Anyways, it's your decision, I'll give you till lunch to decide.
  • You mean... CHEAT?!
  • Option 1: Accept the Offer
  • What should I do?! Well I could accept the offer... I would get a good grade, and what if Ava thinks I'm cool? On the other hand, I could get in trouble, and even worse if I accept the offer I'll be cheating, and everybody knows that cheating is wrong...
  • Do Now: Finish your Introduction paragraph
  • Nia comes to school on a Friday morning, only to find out from one of her friends(Ava) in her Social Studies class that she has a project that is worth 2 test grades due today, when she isn't even close to finishing it.
  • Option 2: Deny the Offer
  • DO NOW: Open texbooks to page #401 and do 16-32 evens
  • Ava offers to share her project with Nia, Nia knows this but knows this is wrong, but if she doesn't accept Ava will think she's scardey-cat. On top of this, she'll get a bad grade on the project.
  • Option 3: Finish the project in the remaining time between classes
  • Nia is sitting in English class, and she is still trying to decide what to tell Ava during lunch. She is finding it very difficult to come to conclusion, and it's driving her CRAZY!!!
  • Solution
  • I have made my decision... I am going to DENY Ava's offer. This way I won't be cheating, as cheating is not part of my values Hopefully everything works out well.
  • Nia is thinking about what will happen of she declines the offer. Only one more period left to decide!
  • Well I could say no... but then I would get a bad grade, and what if Ava gets mad at me. Then I will get a bad grade and loose my friend. If I cheat I know that I'll really be cheating on myself, and what if Mrs.Jones(S.S. teacher) gives me extra time, then I will get a good grade, and I won't be cheating! What should I do?! Only ONE more period left to decide, I think my head is going to EXPLODE.
  • Nia thinks about one last option and the results, she needs to make a descion fast, as lunch time is right aound the corner!
  • Hmmmm... I could just finish the project in the time I have left. It's possible that I could get a good grade... but I would still be kind of be cheating. I won't feel as guilty, as I didnt's copy someone else's project. There is also a risk of getting in trouble, if Mrs.Jones checks my revision history. What should I do? Only a FEW minutes left till lunch!
  • After analyzing and thinking about the problem Nia has finally made her decision.
