Storyboard Text

  • 1. Panning shot
  • 2. Mid shot
  • 3. Split screen mid shots
  • Here we see the victim (Hayley) dead in the trees. We use inspiration from the film limitless for the panning technique and have police tape surrounding the scene to provide a timeframe.
  • 4. Tracking close up
  • The audience see here a mid shot of the antagonist situated in a low-key lighted scene with only a computer and lamp on their desk. Their identity is kept hidden (black hoddie).
  • 5. Zoom out
  • Two mid shots of the protagonist on the phone to his friend as he needs help finding the murderer. This scene includes dialogue between the two (see script) and is followed by a zoom out of the antagonist at their desk.
  • 6. Titles
  • The tracking close up follows the protagonist's feet as they walk towards what could be the antagonist in the distance. This is followed by a dramatic flashback of the dead victim (the protagonist's sister).
  • We suddenly cut to what must be back in time and see the antagonist at their desk again. The camera surges out rapidly and the door slams violently.
  • The titles appear slowly and the font links with the theme of our film well. They are introduced on a plain background and in a large size to add drama.
