While in elementary school the teachers taught us to clap while sounding out words. This helped me to learn how syllables work.
Spanish Class
In elementary school the teachers would have each student read a certain number of books. After completing the books we would take AR (accelerated reading) quizzes. These quizzes would help show how well we understood the book.
Communicating with my Roommate
The process of reading books on our own continued all the way through high school. We would have to read a certain number of books each semester. As we got older we stopped taking the AR quizzes and had to start writing papers on the books we would read.
Teaching Wakesurf lessons
I don't really understand what you mean.
In high school we were told we needed to take a second language. I decided to start learning Spanish One in tenth grade. It turned out that Spanish wasn't really my thing and I found it very confusing.
During my freshman year of college I decided to go with getting a random roommate from within my learning community. My roommate ended up being from South Korea. He spoke English but didn't understand some pronunciation and slang terms. I explained some of these to him so he could better understand our language.
During the summer I work as a wakesurf and wakeboard coach. Sometimes I break things down into more simple terms because some of my students might not understand I am asking them to do.
All I'm Saying is you need to have your feet flat to get up!
