Storyboard Text

  • I have my own idea. The harmonic telegraph will have to wait.
  • My apologies, but I insist on working on my idea.
  • But, Mr. Bell, your investors need you.
  • So far, the creation has been a success. I'm hoping to finish soon.
  • Alexander Graham Bell was working on the harmonic telegraph when he came up with his own idea. He hoped his investors would still support him.
  • I've realized Thomas Watson has the ability to make my ideas come to life.
  • Thomas Watson was brought to convince Bell to continue the harmonic telegraph, but Alexander refused. It seemed as though Watson himself was quite interested.
  • One day, I knocked over a container of transmitting fluid. I said, "Mr. Watson, come here- I want to see you." He heard me.
  • With months of work. the telephone was coming together. Bell hoped it would be finished within the next year.
  • Now, people from different points of the country can hear each other in real time. I hope this will be useful and that one day, it could spread around the world.
  • He had a lot of help from Thomas Watson. His investors continued to support him as well.
  • The telephone started to work after Bell made a small "small mistake."
  • Alexander Graham Bell was able to finish the telephone after a few finishing touches. It is thanks to his first version of a telephone that we have modern day cellphones today.
