  • Battle of the Alamo
  • October 2, 1835 The first shots of the revolution. The Mexican army wanted their cannon back and the Texans said "Come and take it." The Texans won the battle and kept the cannon. 
  • Independence Convention
  • Oct. 27-Dec.9, 1835 Texan army surrounded the town and would not let the Mexican army get water or food. They had several small fights during this time. The Texans eventually took the town from the Mexican army.
  • Battle of Coleto Creek
  • February 23rd the Mexican army led by Santa Anna surrounded the Texans in the Alamo. They waited 13 days and finally attacked on March 6th. Every Texan was killed except for a handful of people. 
  • Battle of San Jacinto
  • March 1, 1836 Wrote the Texas Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the Republic of Texas.
  • The Mexican army surrounded James Fannin and 300 of his men. The fought throughout the night, but had to surrender the next day. Santa Anna had all the soldiers killed. 
  • April 21, 1836  Final battle of the Texas Revolution. Sam Houston and the Texan army defeated Santa Anna and his army in a fight that lasted 18 minutes. Santa Anna was captured and later signed a peace treaty.
