Literary Element: Symbolism Throwing the stone in a puddle of water shows how it creates ripples in the water that are everlasting. This signifies how all of our actions creates a ripple in the world and can have a huge impact on someone's life no matter how small it might seem.
Literary Element: Character Development Throughout the story, we see Chloe developed as a character. In the beginning, Chloe and her friends are all mean to Maya. However, towards the end Chloe realizes that she was mean and decides she was going to make up for it but at that point Maya already left.
Theme: Be Kind to one another This message is being sent to show that nomatter how little your actions are, or how little you think something you domight seem, there is always going to be a reaction. For instance, every timethey leave a child out even for the smallest thing can hurt someone’s feeling. To teach them to alwaysbeing kind to everyone because they never know what type of affect theiractions will have on someone else’s life.
