Storyboard Text

  • Long Hours of Labor
  • Social/Emotional dangers of working in Factories
  • Compensation Workers
  • Working hours and conditions were far more harsh. Workers would work fourteen to sixteen hours a day. Doing the math you'll only have 8 hours to rest in your day until you'll have to work again. These working conditions were harsh because you would work sixteen hours without any rest.
  • Daily Routines of urban workers in the factories
  • Although working in dangerous conditions like in the factories parents would be more worried of their children because most of young children worked in the factory. This would cause parents to try to force the system so that children wouldn't work in the factory. Machines didn't yet have the feature where the machine would automatically shut down in case of an emergency.
  • Foremost, Men would get paid in advance of everyone else in the whole entire status. Right under the men it would be women who would most likely get paid 1/3 or a half of what men would get. Kids would obviously get paid the least. If you were an unskilled worker you would make 10 cents a hour.
  • Mostly thought the day workers would get injured by the machines. As working in the factories workers try to maintain the factory to be clean at all times because they predict that that's causing most of the injuries in the factory.
