Hi, I am the Emperor of Japan! I am just a figurehead, and I don't have any power.
Nice to meet ya! I'm the Shogun of Japan, I have the most power in this social hierarchy. I own every land in Japan, and my duty is a Military Governor - General.
Hello, I am a Daimyo of Japan. My job is to own lands that the Shogun give to me because I gave loyalty to them. If I'm disloyal, my land is taken away and it's given to someone else.
The Emperor of feudal Japan was simply just a figurehead, he had no power despite being the highest ranking figure in Japanese feudalism. The Emperor was considered to be a God.
Greetings, I'm a samurai and my job is to deal with warfare ( as I am a warrior ).
The Shogun's job was a Military Governor - General. Shogun was the rank that had the most power in Japan. They owned every land in Japan, and the Shogun had control on almost everything. Shoguns gave land to the Daimyos, in return they received loyalty.
Hi. I'm a peasant in Japan, and I have a really difficult lifestyle. I have to farm the land endlessly 24/7 for about 7 days a week. :/
Feudalism started in Japan because of the civil war that broke out in 1366, which made him lose the power as an Emperor. The Emperor needed assistance from his army which soon became the " Samurai ", and the leader of the army would be called the " Shogun " which lead to the making of a feudal system. The system was justified and maintained because of how the Emperor in 1336 controlled his army and the way he taught them which made every person in the system loyal.
Daimyos were landowners as that was their job. They needed to be loyal to their Shogun, in return Daimyos received land.
The Samurai were the warriors of feudal Japan. Samurais promised to give loyalty to a Shogun or a Daimyo, in return they were given land.
The peasants of Feudal Japan had a really difficult lifestyle. Their main job was to farm the land 24/7 endlessly for about 7 days a week.
