The British decided to make taxes for colonists to pay. This was known as the Tea Act.
How should we stop the Tea Act?
And dress like Indians!
We should destroy the tea!
Colonists of Boston were unhappy and they did not approve of the Tea Act.
Colonists chose to stop the Tea Act. They refused to let it go on, so they made a plan: to dress like Indians and throw the tea into the ocean from the ships.
The colonists of Boston went on with their plan, and dumped 340 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. They used the Dartmouth Ship, the Beaver Ship, and the Eleanor Ship to do so. The result of this whole event was that the British closed down the Boston Harbor until all of the tea thrown overboard had been paid for.
