  • Amulius was furious as he knew the baby boys could grow up to take the throne. So, one day he ordered his slave to drown them in the river. The slave put the babies in a basket on the river and told the king the babies were dead.
  • The babies washed up and a she-wolf found them and suckled them
  • A shepherd called Faustulus found them with the she-wolf.
  • Faustulus took the twin boys and brought them to his wife Larentia. They raised the boys to be fine men
  • Remus taunted his brother about the size of his city walls. He jumped over the walls shouting. As Romulus felt that Remus was insulting his city, seizing his sword, he killed his brother. He called his city Rome after himself.
