  • Galen is wrong! There is only one blood in the body, and blood circulates, it doesn't come from the liver!
  • Sir Isaac Newton
  • Why does this apple fall down and not up? It must be a force! I will call it, Gravity!
  • Johannes Kepler
  • Copernicus was right!
  • Harvey was a very curious doctor, and went against Galen's medical ideas. He believed that Galen had the human body system wrong, and he proved it.
  • Francis Bacon
  • Hmm... We need to promote a new scientific method!
  • Newton was a scientist, inventor, and mathematician from England. He invented the theory of gravity, and created the three laws of motion.
  • Microscope
  • It magnifies more than a magnifying glass!
  • Kepler helped prove the Copernican theory, and had three laws of his own, all about the way the planets stay on there orbits and how they move.

  • Bacon was another philosopher that challenged the ancient ideas of Aristotle, and used inductive reasoning instead of deductive reasoning.
  • The Microscope was an innovation off of the magnifying glass and the telescope. It was invented by Zacharias Janssen and it helped discover human cells.
  • Anders Celsius invented the thermometer, and used mercury to tell the temperature of liquids. He named freezing 0*C and named boiling 100*C.
