Buffalo Bull was satisfied with the gift coyote gave him and sought to repay him for the sharp new horns.
Buffalo Bull gave Coyote a gift he couldn't possibly refuse. Coyote was given a cow that could feed him every night so long as he never ate the meat and used ash to heal her over night.
Happy with his new gift, coyote returned home with the cow. He never had to go hungry!
Night after night Coyote ate fat from the young cow for breakfast, lunch and dinner...
After awhile of eating the same food night after night; day after day, Coyote wanted more. Coyote wanted the delicious meat he could only get from killing the cow, and he so dearly craved to chew on the bones of the cow as well...
