  • Look at me I am a Clown....RAWRRRR
  • Are you mocking me?????
  • Dramatic Irony
  • Okay, will do.
  • Follow me into here there is something I want to show you.
  • Verbal Irony would be when Montressor sees Fortunato and says to him, "You are luckily Met" this is verbal Irony because he is not actually luckily met, his intentions are to murder Fortunato.
  • Foreshadowing 1
  • You shall not die of a cough.
  • True.
  • Situational Irony would be when Fortunato was dressed as a clown/Jester, this is situational Irony because you would not expect him, as a rich man to dress up as a clown.
  • Foreshadowing 2
  • Come into my Palazzo u Drunkened Fool
  • Ooo I like Palazzos 
  • Dramatic Irony would be when he tells him to go into a place not knowing he is going to get trapped and eventually die. (The reader knows what the characters do not.)
  • Foreshadowing 3
  • Be scarce....and no, there is nothing to worry about.
  • "Seems cool with me"(All his servants.)
  • When Fortunato says "he shall not die from a cough", and montressor says back "true" making it a foreshadow for a future event.
  • When Montressor asks Fortunato to go into his palazzo to show him wine, knowing it is bait, it foreshadows into the future that he will get killed.
  • When Montressor told all of his servants to be scarce, foreshadowing that something grim is going to be happening and he does not want any witnesses.
