Artemis was known as the Goddess of The Moon or The Goddess of the Hunt.
One day, Zeus told Artemis that she could have whatever she wanted from him. She asked for a silver bow and arrows, an embroidered deerskin tunic, fifty ocean nymphs, twenty wood nymphs, and a pack of hounds.
Zeus gave her the nymphs, but to get her silver bow and arrows, she had to travel under the sea with her sea nymphs to find the Cyclopes who would make it for her.
Next she traveled to her friend Pan and asked for ten of his best dogs, which he gave to her after a small bout of arguing. This argument ended in Artemis giving nothing to Pan in return for the dogs.
Artemis didn't have a romance with any man, as she was sworn to chastity. Once Actaeon was watching Artemis bathe, so when Artemis saw him, she turned him into a stag.
After turning Actaeon into a stag, she set her dogs loose on him and the dogs killed him, showing everybody that she would not break her vow of chastity.
