  • Conflict

  • Climax
  • Of their thousands immortal children, there was Cronus. Cronus had always longed to be lord of the world himself.
  • Falling Action
  • With the help of Earth, Cronus escaped Tartarus. One day while Uranus was sleeping, Cronus struck his father, wounding him horribly, leaving him powerless.
  • Resolution
  • After killing his father, Cronus then became ruler of the world. But his father's curse remained. Cronus was so overjoyed with his power, he payed no mind to the disturbing thoughts.
  • Cronus eventually married Rhea. Together they bore many immortal children. After the children are born, Cronus swallows them to prevent them from overthrowing him as he did to his father.
  • Rhea was with child once again. She wanted to save the baby's life. Instead of bringing Cronus the child, Rhea brings him a rock to be swallowed. Therefore baby Zeus escapes with nymphs in the forest.
