A man in a white lab coat introduces everyone and gives the teacher their role while strapping the student to their chair along with paying the teacher.
The scientist gives the inital shock to the 'student' to allow for the teacher to be convinced that the shocks he is giving will be going tot he student in the chair
The experiment is then started and the every time the learner gets a question wrong the voltage goes up from 15 volts in 15 volts. While every time the student gets a question wrong they would beg for it to stop
If the teacher asks to stop the man in the lab coat will prompt them to continue and at any point the teacher could leave but they choose not to. All of the participants reached 300 volts.
At this point the participant would stop making any noise (answering questions, and screaming when the shock was given). This is the point where the participants would start questioning what they are doing
Once the experiment ended the participants were fully debriefed and there was a physiologist on standby just in case that there was some mental damage. After 1 year they were all checked up on to make sure there was no long term injury.
