  • Vicky just dyed her hair blue, and can't wait to show her friends at school
  • I'm going to school
  • Vickys' mother Ms. Brown thinks that Vicky's hair looks absolutely ridiculous blue.
  • What did you do to your hair?
  • It's cool mom. Everyone does it.
  • Vickys adolescent brain is more focused on pleasing her peers and seeking approval, than to worry about her moms approval.
  • I can't wait for my friends to see my hair!!
  • In adolescents the social brain wants to accepted, and if the adolescent feel like they are social isolated. Feeling this way has a significate affect on a teens immune health as well as the social brain.
  • No one said anything they hate my hair. ugh!?
  • It's finally lunch and Vicky is ready to go home. Until her peers come up to her and compliment her on her hair. Having her peers "flock" to her made her feel so much better.
  • I love your hair!
  • Vickys' adolescent brain had her going through a lot of emotions at school, from feeling unaccepted and isolated to feeling socially accepted. The social brain goes through lots of changes while its still developing in adolescent years.
