Natural Selection of the Whitetail Deer
This storyboard does not have a description.
This is a red tail hawk that has a dark bottom and a dark top.
The hawk on the lower branch has lighter colors.
Their offspring could have a mix of their colored feathers. This is how they evolve over time.
One of the birds was very bright, so when a camouflaged snake struck it, the bird died. It was a smaller bird so it was easily killed.
The bigger of the two had dark feathers and was able to survive more easily in the wild. It's great hight also contributed to that.
Natural Selection occurs in this, because one of the young birds had a lighter feather colors and was quickly spotted and killed. The other hawk got its father's dark feathers and was a bigger bird overall so it was able to survive.
