  • Social Cognitive theory says learning occurs as a result of social interaction. The students will work together to solve a word problem, instead of being conditioned through reinforcement.
  • Social Cognitive theory suggests that to have students learn the best, then teachers need to set high expectations. This is so students have the knowledge that in the real world they will be expected to achieve at the highest level possible.
  • Lastly, social cognitive theory suggests that students need to be able to self-regulate their learning. Students should be able to learn to be self-reflective learners that can make decisions that can lead to learning. One way can be working alone to accomplish a common goal through perseverance.
