  • 14th Amendment
  • The 13th amendment mostly freed all slaves in the United States.  This means slavery was completely illegal in America. So if plantation owners were caught doing anything related to slavery they would be arrested.
  • 14th Amendment
  • This was also very important because some people wanted the south back into the union. Especially President Jonhson who  wanted the south to come back to the union.
  • 15th Amendment
  • This Amendment allowed all humans no matter your skin color to be equal and to have equal rights. Any person would have protection equally to any other human.
  • 15th Amendment
  • This was very important because for the south to be allowed back into the union they had to follow these rules. This was also major because this lead to lots of segregation in the future, and also many protests.
  • In the 15th Amendment, it allowed African American males the right to vote and run for office. This still was not the case for woman white or black.
  • Overall, the south had to follow these Amendments if they wanted to get into the union. In the future, this lead to many women protesting to being able to vote. This lead to the 19th Amendment letting females vote.
