  • Walter White as a tragic hero Using Aristotle's 7 Principles
  • Walter White is an very decorated Chemist with multiple awards including the Nobel prize for chemistry. Also he is a super genius.
  • Character of higher status
  • Walter's flaw is his insane ego, which drives him to his greed. Walter thinks he is such a great chemist he should be making more money

  • Walt's extreme pride is in his own intellect. Walt begins to use his brain and chemistry background to create some of the purest form of meth and sells massive quantities to a sophisticated drug lord operator Gus Fring
  • Peripeteia
  • After being trapped by Gus in the drug business Walt has a single decisive moment where he kills off the drug lord Gus.
  • Walt now has the epiphany that he is at the head of the entire meth industry and that he can make loads of money for his family as he continues to cook meth.

  • Two major things happen that causes Walt's fate: His lung cancer comes back and he is found out by the DEA.

  • Walter runs and hides his millions and millions hoping that someday it will reach his family. Walter ultimately dies due to his cancer out in the middle of nowhere. We learn that nothing good came come as a result if we let our ego's and greed fuel our lives.
