#### Storyboard Text

• Hey big sis! Can you help me with something?
• Yeah whats up?
• That doesn't make sense.
• Listen! To find what a number will equal once it is squared all you have to do is multiply it by itself like 3 squared is the same thing as 3*3.
• I am not sure how to do square roots. I am confused!
• It's simple. If you are squaring a number you have to take the number that is given to you and multiply it by itself. For example 4*4 is the same thing as 4 squared
• Thanks sis!
• And the radical which is the sign over the number lets you know that you have to find the square root of that number!
• Great! It is pretty much the same thing you just multiply the number by itself 3 times instead of two!
• Hey Lizzie! I mad a 100! But now we are talking about cube roots. What in the heck are those
• Oh Okay!
• That is correct!
• Like the cube root of 27 is 3 because 3*3*3=27
• So if I have 3 friends and they all want 2 cookies i could just cube 2?
• Okay! See ya sis!
• Just always remember cubed number means to raise the number to the third power!
• Thank you so much for helping me!
• I will see you later!
