"Hello my name is Woody, and I am here to talk about an important decision in 1850 that led to Civil War."
"Come get in this house, you daredevil."
Blacks were escaping from the South and running North for freedom. So slave owners were mad that their slaves were not being returned.
I have come up with the Fugitive Slave Act.
Congress decided to make stricter laws about Northerners returning blacks to slavery.
This eventually led to free blacks being sold into slavery.
I was born free!
I want him!
The law caused a lot of conflict but in the ned was never challenged or changed.
Well, congress ended up leaving the Fugitive Slave Act the same and it got worse as time went on. The North ended up getting angrier and angrier, while t he South got happier. This eventually led to the Civil War.
