  • Joan of Arc is a peasant girl from northern France. At the age of 13, she heard voices about how France was in chaos. This continued, even though she was a normal, everyday person.
  • France is in chaos?
  • Since these voices continued, she decided to do something about it. As France was divided by tension, she cut her hair and dressed as a man. She later met with king Charles to join the army.
  • I must join the armyto fight for France
  • Joan's first challenge was to go to the city of Orleans. She led the French army to Orleans. With a sword and a banner, she filled the French with hope. In the battle, Joan was shot in the shoulder with a arrow, and pulled it out!
  • I will fill them with hope!
  • Joan's army was deserted with only 300 soldiers left, she conducted a surprise attack. As the king saw European soldiers approving, he closed the draw bridge. This trapped Joan out, leading to her capture.
  • The English catholic church put Joan on trial. There were 70 accusations against her. She finally confessed about witchcraft
  • She will burn at the stake!
  •  A huge crowd gathered on May 30, 1431. Joan showed great courage at the stake. She later became a legend and a saint.
