Well, the atmosphere is the envelope of gases surrounding the earth or another planet. Air masses are a body of air with horizontally uniform temperature, humidity, and pressure.
Hey big bro, in class we are about to talk the atmosphere and air masses and I was wondering if you could tell m a little before we start the new topic
Yes, there are. The troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, exosphere, and ionosphere are layers of the atmosphere. Continental Polar, continental tropical, maratime tropical, and martime polar are they diffrent air masses.
Arent their different layers and different air masses big bro?
Each layer in the atmosphere plays different roles. Like for an example one layer of the atmosphere from harmful UV rays. Each air mass comes with different weather patterns. I think that's it, you should be fine as long as you pay attention in class.
What else can you tell me big bro?
Hey big sister in class we are talking about fronts and clouds and I'm really struggling and I was wondering if I could get your help ?
Front is a boundary separating two masses of air of different densities. A cloud a visible mass of condensed water vapor floating in the atmosphere, typically high above the ground.
There are 4 different fronts. Warm, Cold, Occluded, and Stationary are the different fronts. They bring tdifferent weather with each front. There are many differnt types of clouds. Cirrus, Status, and Cumulus are just a few.
Thanks big sister.
No problem, but you should pay very close attention to they different clouds and they different fronts.
