The angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth to send a message to Mary that she is chosen to give birth to Jesus.

During Jesus's development, Mary and Joseph take him to the Festival of Passover yearly. This time, however, they unconsciously left Jesus in Jerusalem, and it took a day for them to finally find him.

Joseph is warned in a dream to flee with the infant Jesus and his mother to Egypt in order to escape Herod's continuing plots to destroy him. After Herod's death, Joseph, once again in obedience to a dream and in fulfillment of prophecy, goes to reside in Nazareth.
