Mesopotamians worked very hard, worshiped the gods daily, and still left time for play. They played with board games which had pieces that were either thrown or moved around the board, the board games were made out of clay.
The Mesopotamians were credited the game checkers. Games were played by both rich and poor. Some toys children played with were bows and arrows, sling shots, spinning tops, and jump ropes.
Kids also played house using miniature furniture and small animals, they also had little model vehicles of carts and chariots with wheels so they could be pulled by string, there was also miniature boats that could float.
When the Mesopotamians moved to the region between the Tigris and Euphrates, they found life easy. There was wildlife to hunt, fish in the rivers, and edible vegetation growing wild.
They decided to stay. Once settled they found they could grow their own food they just had to tend the land. They also figured out how to get river water into the fields.
Other tribes saw the amazing land and fertile soil and sstarted raiding to take it, to protect themselves they buit walls around their town.
