yes now that we farm and domesticate animals life is easy
The hunter gatherer life style was very hard. They had to constantly move around according to the season so they could never set up stable homes or food sources.
The Neolithic Age began around 8000 B.C.E. It was then when people started planting crops and domesticating animals but this took a very long time for them to discover this way of life.
Living in stable communities allowed people to create a stable food supply. Living by rivers allowed people to fish and provide water to crops they planted. Now that they were not moving around a lot they could set up stable housing.
