The hunger Games project

Storyboard Text

  • In a dystopia called Panem lives 12  districts . They each specialize in producing a specific resource. The main district the Hunger Games talks about is district 12, which produce coal, is very poor, and has a low food supply.  In that district a girl named Katniss lives with her younger sister prim and her mom.  Every year the capitol chooses one boy one girl as tributes. They put all 24 tributes in an arena to fight for there lives the  last person wins. This is entertainment for the Capitol.
  • The main conflict in the Hunger Games is the corruption of the government, especially their president, Snow. The president used the Hunger Games as a way to stop the 12 districts from protesting and fighting back. It also helped show that the Capitol is in control and they can do nothing about it.
  • The rising action in the Hunger Games is when Prim, Katniss' sister gets picked to be a tribute in the Hunger Games. When Katniss registers Prim was picked, she immediately volunteered as a tribute to compete in the Hunger Games .
  • The climax of the Hunger Games is when Katniss, Peeta and Cato are on top of the cornucopia. They are all trying not to get eaten by  genetically modified dogs. Cato starts to fall and gets a hold of Peeta. To save Peeta, Katniss hits Cato in the hand with an arrow and the genetically modified dogs eat him. This scene is the climax because it determines if Peeta and Katniss will be the victors of Hunger Games since they allowed 2 people from the same district can win.
  • The falling action in the Hunger Games is when all of a sudden the game makers change the rules and only one person can win. In defiance, Katniss comes up with the idea that both of them die, so they both decided to eat night lock, poisonous berries, together so no one can win.
  • The resolution in the Hunger Games is when the game makers see them try to eat the night lock and suddenly switch the rules back. They do this because the capitol might hate on them because the capitol loves both of them and the government needs a victor to prove their point. This scene is the resolution because it shows how the Hunger Games ended.
