Matthew Barker was a science teacher at a university. One day, he found that all of his supplies had been stolen. He called on an investigation immediately. However, the police were not able to find any evidence. When one of his students, Frank Mills, had heard about it, he decided to try to find the person who stole the supplies. He had a lot of work to do.
Frank was able to get access to the security cameras, but the thief had wiped the footage of the crime. Frank then suggested using fingerprints. They were then able to narrow it down to a man named Isaac Murray, who had a previous criminal record. They finally had a lead.
When the police arrived at Isaac’s house, he was not there. They figured he had run away. However, his car was still there and he had not taken anything with him. Frank had an idea. “What if he’s hiding?”, Frank suggested. Frank found a passage in a closet, leading somewhere. He decided to follow it. At the end, there was a room, which had a hatch, leading to the outside.
He climbed out of the hatch. He found it lead to an apartment, a few blocks away from the house. Frank found footprints marked in dirt, matching that of Isaac’s. He followed them out the door, to the street, and they lead him to another house. He saw the stolen supplies inside. But then he saw movement inside. It was Isaac, he reckoned. He called the police over. Isaac Murray was arrested, Matthew’s supplies were returned, and Frank was a hero.
