  • division= 60t>8----60t/60>8/60---t>2/15--{tlt>2/15} or -7d<147---- -7d/-7<147/-7 remember, if you divide both sides of an inequality, the sign flips. multiplication=   -3/7r<21----(-7/3)(-3/7)r>21(-7/3)---r>-49--{rlr>-49}      or  -n/6<8---- (-6)(-n/6)<8(-6)---n<-48--{nln<-48} remember, if you multiply both side of an inequality by a negative, then the inequality symbol changes direction
  • Hey Bob! I need help with Linear Inequalities!! Can you please give me a lesson?
  • how to solve inequalities: addition=  x-12>8 ---- x>20-- {xlx>20} subtraction=  m+19>56----m>37-- { mlm>37} remember to always keep the variable on the left side, to do so; you switch the number and letters, including the sign
  • how to graph inequalities: after solving the inequality; m<9 <-l---------l---------l->   8              9             10
  • When graphing inequalities with two variables, solve the equation and choose a test point. Determine if its true or false. Graph the equation and if its true shade in the region where the test point is, if not shade the other side of your line. The sign of your inequality also determines if your line is a solid or dashed.
  • Thank you for the lesson Bob! I finally understand what im doing!
