The Cold War was not a battle fought with guns and tanks, but a battle of ideas
The Cold War-Mind Over Matter BY: Sativa Luat
Both The United States and USSR wanted to do great things, but only to be a larger power in the world.
It was more a race to see who the leading super-power of the world was. And in doing so we created a bitter distrust all over the world.
It began in 1947 between the USSR and The United States of America The USSR feared a nuclear strike and America was afraid of communist in general. The People became paranoid and sketchy.
And because of people like McCarthy anything that happened in society the USA took as a threat.
In-fact a man named McCarthy had started framing everybody and anybody from Scientist to the United States Army!
McCarthy got into the minds of the people. Telling Americans that they can no longer trust the neighbor, or there siblings anymore. So, most Americans believed that the communist were trying to control them and take over America.
Communist, Communist everywhere
And the More the influence the USSR had the greater a distrust in Communist and Decomcracy
As America feared a communist attack the USSR feared a nuclear attack, and so became more influential in Eastern Europe.
