  • Mercutio is Slain
  • A plague o' both your houses! I am sped.
  • Tybalt is Slain by Romeo
  • Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up and Tybalt is slain.
  • Oh, I am fortune's fool!
  • Romeo is Banished
  • After Tybalt begins challenging Romeo to a duel, Romeo refuses. Mercutio stands up for Romeo, believing him to be a coward, but after Romeo attempts to step in to stop it, Tybalt lands the final blow, killing Mercutio.
  • Juliet Drinks the Sleeping Potion
  • Tybalt returns to fight Romeo, in a blind rage, Romeo swiftly kills Tybalt, before running off.
  • Juliet is "Dead"
  • O brother Montague, give me thy hand. This is my daughter's jointure, for no more Can I command.
  • The Prince makes a decision to punish the only survivor of the fights, Romeo, to exile. Benvolio experienced no punishment.
  • (Act 5) The Feud is Settled
  • After going through her fears, Juliet decides to drink the potion, and with that, she is put into a coma-like state.
  • The Capulet Family, the Nurse, and Paris all discover Juliet to be "dead" (notably, pale skin) after she took the sleeping potion.
  • After the lovers' deaths, Lord Capulet and Lord Montague are filled with grief. They promise to resolve the feud by erecting two sculptures of the lovers to commemorate them.
  • But I can give thee more, For I will raise her statue in pure gold.
