  • Nelson Mandela was born on July 18th 1918 in Mvezo apart of South Africa
  • Jail Time
  • As Mandela was growing up his father was the chief of there city but when Mandela was 20 went to Fore Hare College Then later on became the chief of the ANC
  • Later on Mandela was was sent to prison for 5 years for teason after all those times he protested then non violet protested and they didn't work so then that turned into violet that's what lead to the 5 years
  • As he was in jail for the five years when got out he left the country without a passport and that just mad stuff even worst for him so around 1962 he went to jail for a second time for five years then he went to court later on and sentence to life in prison but he was just there for 27 years still a really long time for someone but how did he survive in jail a big part of it was family he always loved his family he was always trying to find a away to get to them.
  • Later a very important person for South Africa F.W. de Klerk met with Mandela and they met in Klerk office to discuss about future of South Africa. Little bit later Mandela was release on February 11th 1990
  • A couple years later in 1994 Nelson was elected as president he was a great president for his five years then retring in June of 1994
