Sam calls a meeting during recess for the D squad to talk about what they should do with the homework Machine. They all agree on Brenton's idea of destroying its data. This shows friendship because, Sam and Brenton care for Kelsey, and Judy and do not want them to get in trouble.

But, they later find out that Brenton tells about the homework machine. This shows trust because, Sam wants The D Squad to be trusted with the homework machine.
Judy and Kelsey don't Trust R.N Milner because they think he is trying to stalk them. This shows trust because they think R.N Milner is trying to get a hold of the homework machine, they do not trust him.
Sam, Kelsey, and Judy all end up trusting each other in the end, except Brenton who told about the Homework Machine to the police and the school newspaper. This shows trust because Sam, Kelsey, and Judy all trusted each other with keeping the secret to themselves, and not anybody else in the school.
